Widows and Orphans Empowerment (WAOE) Ministries is a fully registered Non-Profit Making Organization that is committed to Changing the lives of the Children and Introducing them to Jesus Christ as Their Lord and Saviour.

1. a) Have as its main goal improvement of standards of living of the Orphans and Widows.
b) Strive in particular to advance the organization’s services to the under served by addressing, through information, advocacy and services, their unmet need and demand for quality life.
c) Join efforts with the government educational and training institutions, Churches, Ministries, NGOs and private sector organizations in the implementation of national gender policy and other relevant policies, which among other things spell out the commitment of the government to ensure equity in all people.
2. Educating drop outs on the value of education and how to reap from the Universal Education program by the Uganda Government and providing few basic necessities for those orphans that can’t easily afford them, such as uniforms, books, pens school bags etc.
3. Coordinating with human rights bodies at the district, national and international levels for issues regarding conflict resolution in areas of inheritance of property to the widows and orphans and land related wrangles.
4. Equipping widows with basic hand and craft skills to enable them find alternative means for income generation thus enabling them to work productively.
5. Spearheading advocacy for proper up bringing of the orphaned girl child whose number has rapidly increased due to the prevailing HIV and AIDS Pestilence in the rural dimensions of our land.
6. To start up campaign against women / widows injustices from a community approach and stipulate the need of equity.
7. To sensitize, train and increase on food crop and animal faming in the families of widows and orphans i.e. bee keeping, poultry, piggery, cattle raring etc.
8. To train the orphans and widows in various skills i.e. secretarial, tailoring, computer science and information technology, hand crafts, life planning livelihood skills.
9. To sensitize the communities about the problems of the orphans and their rights with a view to prevent child abuse and neglect.
10. Provision of comprehensive care to the Widows, Orphans and Vulnerable Children.
11. Address the concerns of Widows, The Girl Child, Youth, Control the spread of HIV and Orphans Education.
